Metal Bulletin reported that according to Simon Bao, vice president of Jinchuan Group Marketing Company, prices for cobalt metal are likely to range between $12 and $15 per pound in 2014.

As quoted in the market news:

‘This has become some kind of a circle – traders slash prices when it is hard to sell but when the prices reach a certain low, they become reluctant to sell. Producers have to sell their by-product of cobalt metal, yet when cobalt metal prices are above $15 per lb, all cobalt metal will come out to inundate the market,’ Bao said in a recent interview.
