Optiva (TSX:OPT), an innovative software provider of critical, cloud native monetization solutions to leading communications service providers announced that Shay Assaraf has joined Optiva as chief marketing officer.

As quoted in the press release:

Assaraf brings a wealth of B2B and B2C experience in marketing and strategy with more than 15 years in the telecom industry. At Amdocs and before that with Pontis (acquired by Amdocs), Assaraf held various positions, and in his last role, he led the marketing consulting and analytics teams addressing customers’ challenges using analytical data, machine learning and artificial intelligence tools and expertise.

“It’s opportune to join Optiva at a time when the company is pivoting to bring innovation, agility and efficiency to different telco BSS applications and most significantly charging, while leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies,” said Assaraf. “I’ve witnessed the energy of the Optiva™ team and customer excitement in reaction to this shift and what it means for CSPs. Optiva is uniquely positioned to become the BSS market disruptor. I am excited to bring my expertise alongside the new product vision to drive real, tangible results to Optiva’s customer base as well as new prospects.”

In his new role, Assaraf will deliver on the promise of realizing Business Value. He will help customers maximize expected results from their plan and rating designs, as well as advise customers on their ability to maximize TCO savings by moving applications to the cloud. He believes this strategy is a necessity to stay ahead of constant changes, such as market disruption, increasing competition and shifting revenues, which define today’s industry. Assaraf’s approach aligns with Optiva’s to be proactive, agile, customer obsessed and to fully utilize new trends of the digital era.

“As a part of the vision of Customer Success, we want our customers to see us as a strategic partner, not just a vendor. Understanding what our customers are trying to accomplish in their markets delivers squarely upon that vision,” said Danielle Royston, CEO of Optiva. “From maximizing marketing designs to finding new solutions for subscriber issues such as loyalty and digital attachment, Shay brings market knowledge and industry experience that will improve our customers’ best practices, benchmarks and bring in new ideas from around the world.”
