Speaking at a uranium conference in Adelaide, Koutsantonis said that the new guidelines acknowledged the significant differences between traditional open-cut and underground mining methodology, and the in-situ recovery process.

“The aim of the new guidelines is to ensure best practice, streamline processes and enable joint assessment while reducing duplication across agencies,” he told delegates at the conference hosted by Paydirt Media.
