Platts reported that OM Holdings’ (ASX:OMH) expects that production at its Tshipi manganese project will begin at the end of 2012.

As quoted in the market news:

Tshipi is in South Africa’s Kalahari Manganese Basin, where some of the world’s largest sedimentary manganese deposits are found. The company said last month that the Tshipi project was “moving full steam ahead” with major construction contracts already awarded.
