BHP to Invest $2 Billion in South African Projects, Including Metalloys Plant

Mining Weekly reported that BHP Billiton is investing R2-billion in two projects in South Africa, including  Metalloys operation in Meyerton to increase the company’s manganese beneficiating capacity.

As quoted in the market report:

Metalloys is one of the largest alloy plants in the world and is backed by 80% of the world’s high-grade manganese reserves in South Africa’s Kalahari basin.
