Pentagon Continues to Use Lithium Ion Batteries on F35

Reuters reported that the Pentagon will continue using lithium batteries on its new F-35 fighter jet in spite of the problems that grounded Boeing 787 planes.

As quoted in the market news:

The bottom line is the lithium-ion batteries used on the F-35s have been through extensive tests and have redundant systems to protect the aircraft and battery compartments; they are considered safe,” DellaVedova said.
