Royal Nickel Corp. (TSX:RNX) announced that its Dumont nickel project has received a positive environmental assessment decision from Canada’s minister of the environment.
As quoted in the press release:

The Minister has determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects with the implementation of the mitigation measures outlined in the Comprehensive Study Report (“CSR”) and has therefore referred the project back to the responsible authorities, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and Natural Resources Canada, for the issuance of permits.

Mark Selby, president and CEO of Royal Nickel, commented:

We are pleased to receive this positive decision from the federal government in a timely manner following the receipt of the main environmental permit for Dumont from the Quebec Government on June 25, 2015. I am proud of the RNC team’s commitment to thorough community and stakeholder engagement and the responsible development of the project.
