Copper on the London Metal Exchange decreased 1 percent to reach $5,631 per tonne on Wednesday, according to Reuters. The current price is a 10 percent decline for copper year-to-date.
Meanwhile, data from Investing.com shows copper on the Comex also fell, declining 4.2 cents or 1.62 percent to trade at $2.552 a pound.
Decreases were attributed to worries over the future of the global economy and copper demand moving into 2015.
