South African Gold Production Rose 6.4% in Quarter, Chamber of Mines Says

Bloomberg reported that second quarter gold production in South Africa was 6.4% higher than the previous quarter.

The market news is quoted as saying:

South Africa was the world’s fifth largest gold producer last year, trailing China, Australia, the U.S. and Russia, according to London-based research company GFMS.
