Indonesian Government Backs Tin Export Ban

SMH reported the Indonesian government is supporting a ban on tin exports aimed at reviving slumping prices.

The market news is quoted as saying,

“We support this voluntary ban so that tin prices will rise, which will benefit Indonesia’s bargaining position in the industry,” deputy economics minister Eddy Putra Irawadi told AFP on Wednesday.
