Mineweb reports cumulative production for the first seven months of 2011 rose substantially for iron ore as output of tantalum declined in Peru.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Tungsten production also dropped 39% from 67 metric tons in July 2010 to 41 metric tons in July 2011. Cumulative tungsten production in the first seven months of this year plummeted 26.68% from 443 metric tons from January through July 2010 to 339 metric tons.
