According to a new annual benchmark, London has placed among the top five cities for open data.

According to a new annual benchmark, London has placed among the top five cities for open data.
According to an article on the London Free Press:

The Public Sector Digest and the Open Data Exchange have produced the Open Cities Index, which rates 34 of the country’s cities based on how they are ready to use its open data, how the city has fulfilled its open data goals and what data is posted online, among other criteria.
London ranks fifth, behind Edmonton, Toronto, Surrey and Ottawa.
London lists a number of data sets on its city website, including census data and budget info, along with rec data such as locations of wading pools and playgrounds, and other information such as London Transit stops.
