South African Stocks: African Rainbow, Harmony, Gold Fields, MTN
The FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined for a third day, dropping 261.83, or 0.9 percent, to 30,061.21
Bloomberg reported the FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined for a third day, dropping 261.83, or 0.9 percent, to 30,061.21.
The market news is quoted as saying,
African Rainbow Minerals Ltd. (ARI) , a producer of coal, platinum and nickel, slid for a second day, dipping 2.47 rand, or 1.4 percent, to 179.01 rand. Commodities were set for their worst week in more than four months on deepening concern that policy makers are running out of tools to avert another global recession, hurting demand for metals, fuel and food.
