Metal Bulletin reported that attendees of this week’s Metal Bulletin Molybdenum Market Forum believe that even if China decides to revisit its export policy, the international market is still unlikely to be overwhelmed by molybdenum exports from the country.

As quoted in the market news:

‘The chances are slim for export policy changes any time soon given the fact that the Ministry of Commerce has published 2014 export quota for molybdenum,’ Nick Cao, vice gm of sales company of Jinduicheng Molybdenum, said at the forum. Late last month, China’s ministry of commerce approved 25,000 tonnes of export quota for molybdenum for 2014, unchanged from the 2013 quota.
