Tears flow as New Zealand Pike River coal mine hopes shatter

The Herald Sun.com reports that hopes have been crushed as familes have been told the 29  Pike River Coal (NZE:PRC)  miners have been confirmed dead from a second explosion.

The story is quoted as saying:

“Next minute they told us to stop clapping and they said unfortunately there had been a second explosion, bigger than the first, and that nobody could have survived.”
