In a rare interview published Thursday, Czech Coal co-owner Pavel Tykac told the Czech daily Mlada Fronta Dnes that one option for sealing a new coal supply deal with CEZ, the creation of a joint company, had failed to win support and that the near 70% state-owned power company had only been interested in sealing a five-to-seven-year, short-term coal supply agreement.
