Coal Mining Stocks Drop on Concerns Over Demand

The Street reported that shares of coal companies fell on speculation that demand would sink.

As quoted in the market news:

The coal industry also continues to face challenges as power plants switch to natural gas from coal to take advantage of the lower-priced fuel for generating electricity. Natural gas prices have fallen sharply because of a production boom and weak demand during the mild winter.
