Supply of Critical Rare-earth Elements About to Expand

PC World reported that the US and Australia are seeking to fulfil demand for a steady supply of rare earth elements.

As quoted in the market news:

Efforts to diversify the supply of rare-earth minerals should get a boost later this year when two mines, one in the U.S. and one in Australia, ramp up production. Supplies aren’t expected to match demand for years, however, triggering a worldwide rush to locate and extract rare-earth elements.
