Minweb reported Black Iron (TSX:BKI,FWB:BIN) will invest in $900 million mine not a $1.6 billion pellet-producer following results of a scoping study.
As quoted in the market news,
Rather than building an iron-pelletizing plant, which would come with a $1.6 billion pricetag according to the scoping study, Black Iron said it instead saw building a cheaper, less complex plant that would produce a pellet feed. The latter option would come at about half the capital cost or $896 million, Black Iron estimated.
