Organic Potash Corporation (CNSX:OPC) announced that they have received notice that the Potassium Carbonate which is being produced at their Tema production plant by its K2 production line is pharmaceutical grade in purity.

As quoted in the press release:

Samples of OPC’s final product were sent to Intertek and testing was conducted at Intertek’s New Jersey facility.

OPC’s President, CEO and Chairwoman, Heather Welner, said:

I am very pleased with these results as we now have two (SGS & Intertek) global independent chemical testing firms confirming that our Potassium Carbonate is above 99.2% in purity which is needed in order to be deemed ‘Pharmaceutical Grade.’ Pharmaceutical Grade Potassium Carbonate is in very high demand globally for manufacturing, food and pharmaceutical applications. OPC has been achieving these purity results using a patented manufacturing process which does not require a secondary, chemically and electrolytically induced process in order to achieve 99%+ purity. Our system of producing Pharmaceutical Grade Potassium Carbonate is an industry and global first in that our product originates from an organic source, no heavy metals, no arsenic.
