Agrium Reports First Quarter Results
Agrium Inc. (TSX:AGU) (NYSE:AGU) reported a net loss of $7-million ($0.04 diluted loss per share) for the first quarter of 2010, compared with a net loss of $60-million ($0.38 diluted loss per share) in the first quarter of 2009.

The press release is quoted as saying:
Agrium’s 2010 first quarter consolidated net loss was $7-million ($0.04 diluted loss per share), compared with a net loss of $60-million ($0.38 diluted loss per share) for the same quarter of 2009. Net earnings before interest expense and income taxes (“EBIT”) was a loss of $21-million for the first quarter of 2010 compared with a loss of $56-million for the first quarter of 2009.
