Rockland Commences Drilling at Schefferville Gold Property, Quebec

Rockland Minerals Corp. (TSXV:RL) reported that a 1500 meter drilling program has begun at the Schefferville Gold Property in the Ashuanipi area, located 70 kilometres northwest of Schefferville, Québec.

The press release is quoted as saying:

Additional mapping and sampling is also being carried out on the property. Rockland is earning a 55% interest in the property from Western Troy Capital Resources Inc. by making cash payments totaling $60,000 and issuing an aggregate of 600,000 common shares over a three-year period, and by spending $800,000 in exploration on the property over a three-year period. The Western Troy claims are in 10 distinct blocks staked over known gold showings originally discovered in the mid 1980′s by Québec government geologists. Many of the claims are contiguous and intermingled with Rockland’s existing gold claims in the camp, optioned from E.D. Black in 2009.
