    NY Times reports that on Wednesday, oil stocks on Wall Street ended higher.

    The market news is quoted as saying:

    Oil gained nearly 4 percent to move back above $100 a barrel, due in part to a Department of Energy report that inventories of crude oil did not rise last week as expected. Energy stocks including Chevron and Exxon Mobil rose nearly 2 percent, the most of the 10 industry groups in the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index.
