Congo’s Katanga Province Begins Promoting ‘Conflict-Free’ Minerals in U.S.

Bloomberg reported that Katanga province in the DRC is now promoting itself as a conflict-free minerals region.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Trafficking in natural resources including gold, tin ore, and coltan, all key elements in electronics, has fueled more than a decade of war in eastern Congo, according to the United Nations.
