Speaking to reporters outside the Conservative Party caucus meeting on Parliament Hill, Clement said if he and his officials determine a review is required, he’ll do one, but he said he was leery about prejudging the decision because he must ensure it can stand up to legal scrutiny.
Clement drew heavy fire last year after an investment review for disallowing an Australian company to buy Saskatchewan Potash.
