What are we to make of proposed merger between the London and Toronto stock exchanges, and their respective junior bourses, the TSX Venture Exchange and the Alternative Investment Market?

The answer is, I’m not really sure, but I don’t think I’m alone. After talking with the head of a major securities firm, a prominent securities lawyer and an exchange official, I’m not sure anybody else – even the exchanges – really knows what the future holds.
