Gold Rises to $1,291.65 an Ounce Ahead of US Jobs Data

This morning, gold rose 1 percent, or $12.91, to trade at $1,291.65 per ounce. Meanwhile, US gold futures for April delivery rose $11.40, to $1,291.40 an ounce.

This morning, gold rose 1 percent, or $12.91, to trade at $1,291.65 per ounce, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, US gold futures for April delivery rose $11.40, to $1,291.40 an ounce.

Stalled European shares and the US jobs report due out this week are giving investors reason for caution. “It’s a big data week … in addition to the various economic numbers already seen, we’ve got the NFPs (U.S. non farm payrolls) coming up and there is some repositioning ahead of that,” Mitsubishi analyst Jonathan Butler told the news outlet.
