Rex Minerals Plans 70 000 t/y Copper Operation

Mining Weekly reported that a pre-feasibility study for Rex Minerals’ Hillside project, in South Australia has revealed the potential for a 70 000 t/y copper operation.

As quoted in the market report:

The project would generate a revenue of some A$11-billion over its 15-year mine life, producing 70 000 t/y of copper and 50 000 oz/y of gold, as well as 1.2-million tons of iron-ore, grading 67% iron.
