Takeover Reports Boost European Goldfields Shares

Financial Post reported that news of a potential takeover bid by Eldorado Gold (NYSE:EGO) boosted share prices of European Goldfields (LSE:EGU).

As quoted in the market news:

European Goldfields, based in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, rose 15 percent to C$11.46 before the shares were halted in Toronto. After trading resumed, the shares climbes 21% to C$12.13.
