Morrison Mine Denied by BC Government

The Canadian Press reported that in its second ever ruling, the provincial government of British Columbia denied the environmental assessment certificate for a proposed Morrison Mine gold and copper project by Pacific Booker Minerals.

Environment Minister Terry Lake stated:

This is a part of the province that has a genetically unique species of salmon that could be put at risk.

This one simply had too many risks associated with it. We didn’t have a high enough confidence level to give it a ‘Yes’.
