WGC Discusses First Quarter Gold Trends

Mineweb reported an interview with World Gold Council Managing Director Marcus Grubb on gold trends during Q1 2012.

As quoted in the market news:

It was a diverse and complex quarter for the gold market in Q1 of this year. Overall demand was down 5% to 1,097 tons. In value terms though, compared with Q1 last year, it was up 16% because on average the gold price was significantly higher in 2012.
