Shares of El Dorado Up on Production Announcement

CNBC News reported that shares in El Dorado Gold Corp. (NYSE:EGO) rose on the company’s assertion it would double gold production over five years.

As quoted in the market news:

Eldorado said that it will increase its investment in a number of mining projects to drive up production by 160 percent, to 1.7 million ounces annually, by 2016. The Canadian company outlined plans to invest $1 billion in Greece for new mines.
