Seven Killed in Kinross Plane Crash

The National Post reported that a flight, chartered by Canadian gold miner, Kinross Gold Corp (TSX:K), has crashed in Mauritania, killing seven including two pilots, three security personnel and two Mauritanian customs officials.

As quoted in the market news:

An aviation official in Mauritania said the plane caught fire shortly after taking off on Thursday from an airstrip in Nouakchott, the West African nation’s capital. The pilot attempted to return to the runway but failed to reach it.
