A controversial gold mine being developed in Romania by Gabriel Resources Ltd (TSX:GBU) could go to a vote following weekend protests over the proposed use of cyanide, the Vancouver Sun reported.

That may delay the project, for which Canada-based Gabriel Resources Ltd. said it could “hopefully” receive approval by November.
