New Gold Plans To Start Production at New Afton in June

Precious Metals InvestingMining Weekly reported that New Gold (TSX:NGD) expects that gold production at its New Afton mine will start in June of this year.

As quoted in the market news:
New Gold expected to produce 35 000 oz to 45 000 oz of gold and 30-million to 35-million pounds of copper during the year. Over its estimated 12-year mine life, New Afton was expected to produce an average of 85 000 oz of gold and 75-million pounds of copper a year.
