Goldcorp Halts El Morro Mine Due To Permit Rejection

Canadian Business reported that Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) stopped work at its Chile-based El Morro mine because its environmental permit was revoked by the government.

As quoted in the market news:

Goldcorp announced Monday that field work at El Morro was suspended after the Supreme Court found Chile’s environmental permitting authority must correct deficiencies identified by the Antofogasta Court of Appeals.
