This past month, the Investing News Network was lucky enough to get to see the first gold pour from bulk sample material from Golden Predator Mining’s (TSXV:GPY) 3 Aces project in Canada’s Yukon.
Check out some of our photos from the event below, as well as a video of the gold pour in action!
We were also able to visit the 3 Aces property earlier that week. Our writeup on the project can be found here.
Without further ado, here are the photos:
Golden Predator chairman Bill Sheriff with the gold to be poured into a doré bar.
The setting for the gold pour, complete with tea and the best banana-chocolate-chip muffins we have ever tasted.
Golden Predator chief geologist Mike Burke watching the gold be prepared for the kiln.
A variety of kilns for all occasions.
Donning safety gear.
Scooping gold into the kiln. We had to wait about 25 minutes before the metal was bubbling hot.
Gold pour in action! (Watch the video above)
The poured bar had to cool within its mould for a bit to avoid cracking. It was then dumped out, and the slag was scrubbed off in a basin of cold water, to reveal the final product:
