Gold Fields Q3 Earnings Up Sharply but Shy of Consensus

Reuters reported that third quarter profits for Gold Fields (JSE:GFI) were up significantly but did not meet analysts’ expectations.

As quoted in the market news:

Its adjusted earnings per share leapt to 291 cents from 184 cents in the previous quarter. A Reuters poll of six analysts had seen the number coming in at 303.5 cents.
