South Copper’s Third Quarter Net Profit Plummets

Reuters reported that South Copper’s Q3 net profit dropped sharply by 67 percent., due in part to slower production and legal fees.

As quoted in the market report:

The company’s bottom line declined as it ramped up capital expenditures 68 percent to $258 million to expand mining and processing capacity, especially at its Buenavista mine, formerly known as Cananea.
