Katanga Governor Rejects Copper Export Ban

Reuters reported that the governor of copper-rich Katanga province in the DRC has rejected the government-imposed ban on copper exports.

As quoted in the market report:

As the government of Katanga we reject this decision, and we will continue exporting,” Moise Katumbi told Reuters by telephone. “Congo doesn’t have enough electricity to process the finished product.
