Corrupt Government Officials in the DRC Threaten Smaller Miners: Report

The Financial Mail reported that corrupt government officials in the DRC threaten the viability of numerous small-scale miners trying to tap into the country’s vast resource base.

As quoted in the market report:

SARW estimates there could be between 370000 and 600000 artisanal miners in the DRC, mining for gold, copper, cobalt and other minerals.
