Bloomberg reports Copper surged in New York.
The market news is quoted as saying:
Copper futures for July delivery increased 3.55 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $4.006 a pound at 10:49 a.m. on the Comex in New York. A close at that price would leave the contact up 0.8 percent for the week. Before today, the metal slid 15 percent from a record $4.6575 on Feb. 15 on concern that China, the world’s biggest user, would seek to slow its economy to curb inflation.
