Copper Prices Up, but Caution Remains

Mineweb reported that although caution in the market remains, copper prices increased on Tuesday after indications that Spain will use public funds to help its banks.

Copper prices were also supported by declining stocks on the LME , which market players said was partly due to Chinese producers snapping up spot copper to deliver into LME warehouses.

Still, the overall mood remains cautious, with developments in the euro zone posing a threat to copper’s shaky upward momentum in the session.
