5 Top NASDAQ Tech Stocks: NVIDIA Gains 166.9 Percent Year-To-Date
This week’s NASDAQ top gainer in the Computer Software & Processing sector was NVIDIA, followed by Smith Micro Software, Bsquare, FunctionX, and Limelight Networks.
The NASDAQ Technology Sector (INDEXNASDAQ:NDXT) had a topsy-turvy week but was up 1.53 percent and ended the week at 2,761.10 points by market close on Friday.
Of course, last week was the culmination of the US elections where Donald Trump surprisingly clinched the coveted seat for US president. According to TechCrunch, Trump will not be a friend to the tech world.
Despite uncertainty surrounding the Trump presidency, here are last week’s top NASDAQ tech stocks in the computer software and processing industry:

NVIDIA
NVIDIA is a computer hardware maker and last week, the company reported a record revenue of $2.00 billion and a record GAAP EPS of $0.83.
Shares of NVIDIA gained 29.73 percent over the five-day trading period, and ended the week at $87.92 per share. Year-to-date, the stock has gained 166.90 percent.
Smith Micro Software
Smith Micro Software is a software developer focused on visual communication for digital artists and animators.
Shares of Smith Micro Software ended on a high note on Friday when it registered a gain of 19.46 percent over the five-day trading period, and ended the week at $1.78 per share.
Bsquare
Bsquare is a technology distributor and solution provider for the Internet of Things. Last week, the company reported its Q3 results, announcing revenue at $22.5 million. Shares of Bsquare gained 19.48 percent over the five-day trading period, and ended the week at $4.60 per share.
FunctionX
FunctionX, an online media and technology company, is no stranger to our list of top gainers. Last week, shares of FunctionX gained 20.49 percent over the five-day trading period, and ended the week at $3.51 per share.
Limelight Networks
Limelight Networks is a digital content delivery company that boasts of its own Limelight Orchestrate™ platform that has an integrated suite of content delivery technology and services. Shares of Limelight Networks trended steadily upwards last week and gained 15.84 percent over the five-day trading period, and ended the week at $2.34 per share.
