Bloomberg reported that Polyus Gold International Ltd.’s (LON:POLG) sales have increased by 16 percent so far this year, and that revenues have climbed to $1.97 billion from $1.7 billion this time last year, helped along by increased output and prices.

Gold companies have boosted output to benefit from prices that have gained more than 10 percent since the start of 2012, approaching $1,800 an ounce this month. Polyus rival Polymetal International Plc increased its annual output target yesterday after quarterly volumes rose, and said dividends would expand.
