Knick Exploration (TSXV:KNX)is pleased to announce acquisition of zinc hosting-potential volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) property from Carat Inc. for 500,000 common shares of the company.
The 22 claims covering 1222.85 hectares are situated in the Dalquier Township area approximately 15 kilometers north of the city Amos Quebec and are contiguous with Knick’s Trecesson property
The claims include historical diamond drill core intersections of:
- Hole number 7827-79-04, 1.9% zinc over 8.26 meters, 2.1 grams gold and 12.3 grams silver over 0.20 meters, 2.1 grams gold and 8.5% zinc over 0.20 meters.
- Hole number 7827-80-01, 2.9% zinc and 1.6% lead over 0.30 meters.
- Hole number 7827-80-03, 9.7% zinc over 1.04 meters.
(Reference MNRQ, GM36198 and GM52899)
The zinc ± silver ± gold ± lead occurrence was discovered in 1979 by drill testing of a “weak” induced polarization (IP) geophysical anomaly. The mineralization is hosted in felsic volcanic rock as rhyolite to dacite tuff proximal to andesitic flows and was traced for 100 meters. The zone is described as striking 280° and dipping 80° north.
Calculated Hashimoto values returned up to 79.3 (Reference MNRQ, GM52899).
The 22 claims covering 1222.85 hectares are situated in the Dalquier Township area approximately 15 kilometers north of the city Amos Quebec and are contiguous with Knick’s Trecesson property.
Figure 4 in NI 43-101 Technical Report of Trecesson Property referenced below and posted on the Knick website indicates the locations of the drill holes described above relative to the Trecesson property.
