Gold Rises Slightly to $1,324.70 Ahead of Senate Vote

Gold prices rose slightly in New York Sept. 25 after falling three sessions in a row.

Gold futures for December delivery were up $7.95 to $1,324.70 an ounce on the Comex in New York, Bloomberg reported.

A possible government shutdown in Washington helped gold gain some ground today. The U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote today on legislation that would cover federal spending through mid-December.

Spot gold was down $1.32 to $1,320.80 an ounce.
