MarketWatch reported that the price of gold dropped as the US dollar rose over concerns about the Greek debt crisis.
As quoted in the market news:
Gold for June delivery GCM2 -2.36% sank $38, or 2.4%, to $1,538.60 an ounce, extending the week’s decline into a third session. Earlier, the contract fell by as much as $42.70 to touch a low of $1,533.90.
