Barrick Evacuates Dominican Republic Gold Project on Flood Risk

Bloomberg reported that risk of flooding has forced Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX) to evacuate a gold project in the Dominican Republic.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The mine is located near the Llagal dam that is being built and is at risk of bursting its banks amid heavy rains, Toronto- based Barrick said today on its regional website.
