Industrial Fuels & Power reports signs of uranium price picking up with Ux Consulting and Tradetech increasing their prices.
The rise in U3O8 prices was due to the emergence of new buyers and during the preceding week, four transactions were concluded, representing a trading volume of close to one million pounds. Furthermore, an extra 900,000lb sold earlier this month in two transactions supported the price trend. Buyers did not only include utilities but also producers and intermediaries. The increase in demand signalled the end of a decline in prices and sellers raised offer prices.
